As we embark on the next stage of our growth, we’re seeking an ambitious sales leader with a proven track record in team management, account management roles and selling complex IT solutions into large enterprises.

The successful candidate will serve as a Principal Account Manager for an existing strategic UK Enterprise Customer with responsibilities for relationship management and partnership growth; they will drive digital transformation through impactful engagements with C-level executives, line of business leaders and technology professionals. In this role, you will represent the entire portfolio of AWS across the highest profile commercial organisations in the UK and oversee the extended teams and resources that support the customer.

Amazon Global Sales (AGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing enterprise-level customers in the United Kingdom. The AGS team is responsible for the development and execution of industry market strategy within the local market and coordinating AWS Partner teams along with worldwide Industry business development teams.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Drive AWS business growth in a defined territory supporting early engaged accounts
  2. Build and leverage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to further the adoption of AWS services in the market
  3. Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales strategies and successful go-to-market engagements to achieve customer outcomes
  4. Act in a customer-focused way that delights our customers, enables innovation, underpins transformation and delivers excellent results
  5. Deliver against a combination of agreed quantitative and qualitative goals
  6. Develop and work with partners to extend the reach and drive AWS cloud adoption
  7. Engage in a way that ensures a superior customer experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Extensive experience as a quota carrying technology field sales professional with a proven track record of success selling complex cloud solutions to large enterprises
  2. Evidenced experience in increasing technology adoption and creating long term transformational account strategies in large, complex accounts
  3. Proven experience working with and earning the trust of C-level executives both within IT and other lines of business
  4. Demonstrable success in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology projects to net new Enterprise Customers
  5. Ability to lead larger extended account team resources to deliver on strategic account plans for highly complex Customers with a potential for stakeholders across geographies and operating companies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Self-starter, able to work independently and autonomously to build cross functional teams within a matrix organization and the ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders
  2. Experience working in at least one of specific vertical sectors including Travel & Hospitality, Manufacturing & Automotive and Life Sciences
  3. Demonstrable ability to win and drive successful customer outcomes, often in an ambiguous environment
