Marchant Recruitment is supporting a vibrant Kensington primary school in recruiting a compassionate Pastoral Manager to oversee pupil wellbeing across Early Years to Key Stage 2. You will collaborate with SLT, SENCo, and DSL to implement nurturing strategies and data-driven interventions.

The role focuses on emotional regulation, attendance, safeguarding duties, and strong family engagement within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a pastoral, child welfare, HLTA, or learning mentor role within a primary school or early years setting.
• Sound understanding of primary-age child development, positive behaviour management, and safeguarding procedures (KCSIE).
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).
• Excellent emotional intelligence, active listening, resilience, and composure in challenging situations.

Responsabilités

• Deliver 1:1 and small-group nurture interventions (e.g., emotional regulation, social skills, self-esteem, bereavement support).
• Manage day-to-day pastoral concerns, responding calmly and effectively to pupil anxiety or behavioral challenges.
• Monitor pupil attendance and punctuality, conducting home visits and working with families to improve engagement.
• Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), maintaining meticulous CPOMS records and attending multi-agency meetings when required.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers to provide guidance and early help support.
