Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a Primary Tutor to provide face-to-face tutoring for KS1-2 learners, in Leeds or surrounding areas. You will deliver one-to-one or small-group sessions, tailoring approaches to individual needs while supporting wellbeing.

Ideal candidates will have QTS, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, and prior tutoring or teaching experience. You will schedule sessions Monday to Friday with flexible hours and contribute to student progress alongside parents and

Qualifications

• QTS required and relevant degree.
• Experience tutoring or teaching.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to tailor tutoring to individual student needs.
• Proven expertise in one or more academic subjects (Math, Science, English).

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in person.
• Build strong relationships with hard-to-reach pupils.
• Be supportive, non-judgemental and adaptable.
• Assist with homework, exam preparation and skill development.
• Track and report student progress to parents/teachers.
• Create a safe, engaging and motivating learning environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject area

QTS (Qualified Teaching Status)

SEN/SEMH experience

Prior tutoring or teaching experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to teach clearly and engagingly

Expertise in subject areas (Math, Science, English)
