Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in primary settings across Tamworth, starting September 2026. The role offers Day to Day or Short/Long term placements. Salary ranges from £92 to £100 per day.

You will work alongside experienced teachers to help pupils stay engaged, confident and motivated in the classroom, supporting learning activities and small groups while maintaining a calm, productive learning space. DBS clearance and references are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting pupils in a primary school or educational setting.
• Relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
• DBS check registered to the Update Service may be required.
• Ability to gain at least two relevant references in the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities in the classroom alongside experienced teachers.
• Guide individuals or small groups to help pupils stay engaged, confident and motivated.
• Help maintain a calm and productive learning space for all pupils.
