Job summary

Vision for Education in Middleton is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in local primary schools from September. This is a long-term role with additional daily supply work available.

You will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, support individual learners and small groups, and help maintain a calm, structured learning environment. Experience in a primary setting or a Level 1/2/3 TA qualification is preferred, with strong communication and a proactive, team-focused

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in a primary school, classroom, or educational environment.
• Interest in supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils and staff.
• Confidence assisting with small-group learning and varied learning needs.
• Reliable, proactive attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a calm, structured learning environment.
• Work with individual learners and small groups to reinforce content.
• Help pupils participate, build confidence and monitor progress throughout the day.
• Collaborate with SEN staff and other support professionals.
