Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Oldham is looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in local primary schools starting September. This long-term role offers additional daily supply work and the chance to develop skills in a supportive educational team.

You will work closely with teachers, SEN staff and other support professionals to encourage participation, build confidence and help pupils progress through their day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in a primary school or educational setting.
• Interest in supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils and staff.
• Confidence assisting with small-group learning and targeted support.
• Reliable, proactive attitude and ability to contribute to a school team.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Help pupils stay focused, confident and involved in classroom activities.
• Work with individual learners and small groups to reinforce content.
• Assist with maintaining a calm, structured learning environment.
