Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a Spennymoor school from September 2026. You will support teachers and pupils across the primary age range, helping deliver engaging learning and contributing to a positive classroom environment.

Candidates with experience or a Level 2/3 TA qualification are welcome; DBS Update Service is preferred. The role offers long-term opportunities with potential to become permanent and fast-track registration.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Level 2/Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience within a Primary School setting is advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Primary Teaching Assistant - Spennymoor

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Spennymoor and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to join schools from September 2026.

You'll play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils across the Primary age range, helping deliver engaging learning, supporting pupil development and contributing to a positive classroom environment where every child can succeed.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
