Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a North Durham school in September. You'll support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, helping to bridge gaps and build a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

This role offers flexible days and hours, access to Milk Academy training, and ongoing support from a dedicated consultant. Previous school-based experience and an education qualification are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred).
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Primary Teaching Assistant - Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support tailored to pupils' individual learning needs

Primary Teaching Assistant - Requirements or Skills:
  • Passion for working with children
