Job summary

Emersons Green Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support whole classes and individual pupils. The role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time. The post links to EHCP funding and starts 04/01/2027 or sooner.

The successful candidate should have NVQ2/Level 2 or equivalent, experience with pupils with Special Needs, good IT skills, and be committed to inclusion and collaborative teamwork with colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 / Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience and/or qualifications in working with pupils with Special Needs is desirable and training will be provided.
• Competence in the use of IT and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Support both whole classes and individual pupils.
• Contribute to an inclusive learning environment and help raise pupil attainment and wellbeing.
• Work as part of a team with class teachers and school staff.
