Job summary

Woodpecker Hall Academy in London is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a nurturing primary environment. You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted learning activities, promote inclusion and help pupils access the curriculum.

The role requires a Level 2 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification, GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, and First Aid (or Paediatric First Aid).

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning.
• GCSE English and Maths grade C or above.
• First Aid or Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Experience supporting pupils individually and in small groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support in the classroom to access the curriculum.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and potential.
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, teamwork and inclusion.
• Supervise pupils during activities and contribute to wider school life.
