Job summary

Westfield Community School is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant at Level 2 or 3 to join our busy primary team. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks per year).

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, GCSE Maths and English, and have proven experience supporting pupils with additional needs. You will work collaboratively to support pupils and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working at Level 2 or Level 3 as a teaching assistant.
• Secure knowledge of primary education and classroom practice.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification or equivalent.
• GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
• Experience of working with pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to support learning and pupil progress.
• Liaise with parents and other professionals in a professional manner.
• Promote inclusion of all pupils within the classroom.
• Assist with planning and delivery of activities to support learning.
