Job summary

West Moors Middle School in Dorset is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience across the breadth of engagement in young people’s lives, with comprehensive training and support.

You will establish relationships with pupils, support individual needs, and help create a positive learning environment. The post is term-time only, 32.5 hours per week across 38 weeks, with a salary of £18,915–£19,216 per annum (Grade 5, SCP 5-6).

Qualifications

• Passion for seeing pupils learn and a commitment to supporting their development.
• Ability to work within a team and follow guidance from teachers.

Responsibilities

• Establish productive relationships with pupils and respond to individual needs.
• Provide feedback on progress and support one-to-one and in small groups.
• Encourage pupils to engage and interact with others.
• Support pupils during breaks and school activities as directed by staff.
