Job summary

The Primary First Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the primary curriculum during term-time plus inset days. The role runs 35 hours per week, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and supports pupils with tasks, learning activities, and classroom preparation.

You will work with teachers and other staff to promote positive behaviour, provide 1:1 and small-group assistance, read with children, and help create engaging displays.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with tasks and activities to complete learning goals.
• Help prepare classroom and learning spaces; assist with displays and resources.
• Monitor behaviour and promote positive behaviour while offering emotional support.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils as directed by the teacher.
• Read with children, listen to stories and help them become independent learners.
