Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work at a well regarded Primary school in Godmanchester. You will support the class teacher with engaging lessons and activities, and help pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive environment.

The role requires a DBS, experience with children, and two recent references. A full UK driving licence is helpful for site visits.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a school setting.
DBS clearance current/valid.
Two recent references to cover children’s work.
Full UK driving licence and car access.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting learning.
Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
Assist in planning and preparation of lessons, resources and displays.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
Monitor and record pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Help maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment.
Promote inclusion and support the emotional and social development of pupils.
Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes and on school trips as required.
