Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work at a well regarded Primary school in Godmanchester. You will support the class teacher with engaging lessons and activities, and help pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive environment.

The role requires a DBS, experience with children, and two recent references. A full UK driving licence is helpful for site visits.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • DBS clearance current/valid.
  • Two recent references to cover children’s work.
  • Full UK driving licence and car access.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Monitor and record pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Help maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment.
  • Promote inclusion and support the emotional and social development of pupils.
  • Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes and on school trips as required.

About the role
Teaching Assistant (Full time)

Godmanchester

£93 to £105 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

This role will begin in September 2026.

The School and Role

We are looking for a commited and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive staff team. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to provide high-quality learning support, helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and purposeful environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons, resources, and displays
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Help maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment
  • Promote inclusion and support the emotional and social development of pupils
  • Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and on school trips as required
Requirements
