Job summary

Milk Education are seeking a confident Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Sutton from October. You will support pupils across lessons, work with the class teacher to enable access to learning and provide 1:1 and small-group support.

The role offers a full-time, long-term contract with an attractive daily rate and the chance to contribute to the positive development of pupils in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is essential.
• School, nursery or childcare experience is desirable.
• A patient, positive and approachable personality.
• Confident working with primary-aged children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and committed to working in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the classroom during lessons.
• Work alongside the class teacher to help pupils access their learning.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Help prepare resources and classroom activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Get involved in the wider life of the school.
