Job summary

Milk Education is more than a supply partner - we're a community for educators. We're currently recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a Friendly and Supportive Primary School in Oldham on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis starting in September.

This role is temporary. You'll support pupils with learning, assist the class teacher, foster positive behaviour, and contribute to pupil wellbeing and safeguarding within a collaborative school team.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Recent experience in a school or education setting.
• Experience supporting children with diverse needs (SEND desirable).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, flexible and positive approach to supporting learning.
• Genuine passion for helping children succeed and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning through individual and small-group work.
• Assist the class teacher with classroom activities, resources and organisation.
• Support positive behaviour in line with school policies.
• Promote pupil wellbeing and safeguarding awareness.
• Work flexibly as part of the school team across year groups.
