Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Primary School in Swansea to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis. The role involves supporting children within a busy classroom, helping them stay engaged with learning and managing behaviour positively.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a primary setting, strong behaviour management and communication skills, and a patient, resilient approach. Salary is £14.25 per hour and the school offers ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting.
• Experience supporting children who can display challenging behaviour.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• A positive can-do attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour positively.
