Job summary

Hanson Recruitment Ltd has an opening for a Teaching Assistant in Bath, working full-time during school hours, Monday to Friday.

You will support SEN pupils and the wider class, help pupils' academic progress, promote independence and positive behaviour, and ensure safeguarding policies are followed. Comprehensive training and ongoing consultant support are provided.

Applicants should have Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualifications and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Good organisational and excellent communication skills.
• Flexible availability during term-time hours (08:30–15:30).

Job description

Hanson Recruitment are working with schools in Bath and are currently looking to recruit a teaching assistant for primary schools on a full-time basis.

Pay Rate: £85-£100 per day (subject to experience and qualifications). This is a full-time role Monday to Friday during school hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing both dedicated support to SEN pupils and the other pupils in class
• Supporting the students academic progress and development
• Enabling pupils with SEN to become independent learners
• Encouraging the participation of pupils in the social and academic processes of the school
• Assisting with the student's behaviour management and social-emotional development
• Following all school behaviour, safeguarding and Health and Safety policies

Qualifications & attributes:

• Experience working with children
• Early Years Practitioner Level 2 and above Or Level 3 Teaching assistant Qualification
• Other higher or equivalent qualifications to mentioned above
• Good organisational and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work between 0830-1530 hours during the week term-time

The role of a Teaching Assistant will enable you to use both your academic and inter-personal skills to support children in the classroom. You will be able to work flexible days and can change your availability week by week.
