Milk Education is recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Trafford (M27) to work on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible for a September start! This school prides itself on providing a positive learning environment for all children.

This Level 2 Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom, based in a Year 2 class. You will work with groups of children and occasionally on a one-to-one basis as required. This full-time position has working hours from 08:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Role & Responsibilities:

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
• Support children consistently while responding to their individual needs
• Assist the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons as appropriate
• Deliver catch-up sessions

Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Non-negotiables:

• Have a relevant childcare qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 or above
• Recent and relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND, within the past two years
• A passion for education
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• The ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
