Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role at a mainstream primary school in Prescot. The role involves supporting pupils with literacy and numeracy, helping with classroom activities, and promoting positive behaviour to keep learners engaged.

Qualifications

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, Level 2 or Level 3, is desirable

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff

Job description

Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Prescot

Start Date: January

Salary: £90 - £105 per day

Are you a passionate Primary Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting children with their learning and development?

Are you confident supporting literacy and numeracy while maintaining a positive classroom environment?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school based in Prescot, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive and welcoming learning environment where children are encouraged to build their confidence, develop essential skills and achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a Primary Teaching Assistant from January on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with their literacy and numeracy skills, assist with classroom activities and promote positive behaviour to ensure children remain engaged and motivated in their learning.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, Level 2 or Level 3, is desirable
• Previous experience working in a primary school or childcare setting
• Confidence supporting pupils with literacy and numeracy activities
• Positive classroom management skills and the ability to encourage good behaviour
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff
• A patient, enthusiastic and caring approach with a genuine passion for helping children learn and develop
