Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming South Manchester primary school. You will support learning, foster an inclusive classroom, and help pupils reach their potential.

You'll work closely with class teachers, provide one-to-one and small-group support, and contribute to phonics, literacy and numeracy interventions, while developing professionally through Milk Academy.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, tutoring, coaching or similar setting (desirable).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum

Primary Teaching Assistant – South Manchester

Milk Education is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in South Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge, a graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with relevant transferable experience working with children.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils with their learning and development. You will play an important role in creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Is patient, caring and able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Can work effectively as part of a wider school team
• Is confident supporting pupils both independently and within a classroom setting
• Holds a relevant qualification or degree – desirable, but not essential
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
