Smile Education is actively recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Hull and surrounding areas. You will provide classroom support across EYFS to KS2, run small-group interventions, and offer 1:1 pupil assistance within a flexible supply framework.

Ideal candidates hold UK-recognised Level 2 TA qualification or above, have experience in UK primary settings, and can navigate safeguarding and compliance checks.

Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who loves helping children learn, grow and achieve their potential?

• General classroom support – working alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons.

What we're looking for:

• Ideally, a UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school.
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom routines.
• Confidence supporting children's learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
• Experience working with children of different abilities and learning needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teachers.
• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's education.

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school or relevant educational setting.
• Ideally a UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced child workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
• Satisfactory professional references and completion of safeguarding and compliance checks.
