Location: Barton
Salary: £88.94 – £104.84 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Barton. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and thrive when helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant (Primary TA), you will play a crucial part in supporting classroom teaching and pupil progress. Your responsibilities will include one-to-one support, small group interventions, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities of Primary Teaching Assistant:

• Assist teachers in delivering inspiring lessons tailored to pupils’ needs
• Provide support to pupils with varying learning abilities
• Work one-to-one or in small groups to boost understanding and confidence
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Prepare learning materials and help maintain classroom order
• Support children with special educational needs or learning barriers if needed
• Contribute to pupil assessments and classroom observations

Primary TA Requirements:

• Experience working in a school or childcare setting as a Primary Teaching Assistant is desirable
• A degree in Education, Psychology or in a similar field.
• CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistant is preferred
• A proactive, caring, and patient approach to supporting young learners
• Ability to build rapport with pupils and staff
• Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
