Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEN Teacher for a long-term, full-time role in Wolverhampton, starting September 2026. You will deliver creative, differentiated lessons to primary-aged pupils with Autism/ASD and other needs, collaborating with TAs, therapists and leaders to tailor support for each child.

Applicants should have QTS (UK) and strong classroom management, with a caring, adaptable approach and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• QTS with experience teaching in a UK primary or SEND setting.
• Experience teaching pupils with Autism/ASD and additional learning needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons to pupils with SEN.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and the leadership team.
• Ensure every pupil receives the support they need to succeed.

Salary: £170 - £220 per day

The school is committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and reach their full potential through personalised education.

The school is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. The successful SEN Teacher will plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons to pupils with a variety of needs including Autism / ASD, Moderate Learning Difficulties / MLD, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD and Speech and Language needs. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider leadership team to ensure every pupil receives the support they need to succeed.

The successful SEN Teacher will have:

• QTS with experience teaching in a UK primary or SEND setting
• Experience teaching pupils with Autism / ASD and additional learning needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach to teaching
