Job summary

UCM Education is seeking a passionate Year 4 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford, Essex. This full-time role focuses on Lower Key Stage 2 with engaging lessons and high-quality teaching.

You will lead a Year 4 class, plan and deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, assess pupil progress, and support interventions.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has recent UK primary school experience, and is committed to safeguarding with an Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience in a UK primary school, ideally KS2.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a fun and welcoming primary school in Chelmsford, Essex.

This is a full-time role teaching a Year 4 class, supporting pupils through Lower Key Stage 2 with engaging lessons and high-quality teaching.

You will be:

• Teaching a Year 4 class

• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum

• Assessing pupil progress and implementing effective interventions

• Encouraging pupils to become independent, resilient and confident learners

• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

• Contributing to the wider life of the school and its community

The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have recent experience teaching within a UK primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2. Strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning are essential.

The role includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment, attending meetings and parents' evenings.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or a willingness to obtain one.
