About the role

Enrichment Education is recruiting a dedicated Reception Class Teacher for a primary school in the London Borough of Redbridge. The successful candidate will deliver engaging early years education in a nurturing, inclusive environment and support children’s academic, social and emotional development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework.
• Develop early literacy, phonics, numeracy, communication and social skills through purposeful teaching and play.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
• Observe, assess and track pupil progress, using findings to inform planning.
• Support children with SEND and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers, teaching assistants and colleagues.
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding; contribute to wider school life.

Person specification

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early phonics teaching.
• Effective planning, assessment and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and professional development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

• Experience teaching Reception or within an EYFS setting.
• Experience with systematic synthetic phonics programmes and supporting pupils with SEND/EAL.
