Randstad UK in West Sussex & Surrey is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teachers for flexible supply and long-term placements. Join a supportive regional network and enjoy a balance of engaging classroom practice with flexible scheduling.

You will deliver the National Curriculum to KS1/KS2, differentiate instruction, track progress, and collaborate with teaching assistants and SENCOs. An enhanced DBS check via Update Service is preferred with QTS or UK qualification required.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver dynamic National Curriculum lessons across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 that ignite curiosity and foster deep learning.
• Drive pupil progress by setting high academic expectations and utilizing data-driven insights to boost achievement.
• Cultivate an inclusive, warm, and structured classroom culture where every child feels valued and motivated.
• Differentiate instruction effectively to stretch high attainers while scaffolding content for those who need extra guidance.
• Maintain proactive behavior management strategies that promote mutual respect and a focused study environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and SENCOs to deliver targeted interventions.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and communicate student achievement to parents and school leadership.

Qualifications:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognized UK equivalent (ECTs/NQTs are encouraged to apply).
• Strong working knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum across KS1 and/or KS2.
• Excellent classroom management skills with an approachable and patient teaching style.
• Proven ability to build professional relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Possess an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for one).
• Preferred: Experience leading a specific subject area or familiarity with phonics screening frameworks (e.g., Read Write Inc., Bug Club, or Letters and Sounds).
