Job summary

TeacherActive in Nottingham is seeking a motivated KS2 Teacher for an immediate start on a temporary basis. You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 2, using your subject knowledge and AFL to maximise pupil progress.

You will support pupils with SEND, deliver targeted interventions and work with colleagues to ensure every child reaches their full potential. The role welcomes both ECTs and experienced teachers.

Qualifications

• QTS or eligible for QTS (ECTs encouraged).
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to scaffold learning.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream setting.
• Positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative and engaging lessons across Key Stage 2.
• Support pupil progress using AFL techniques.
• Deliver targeted interventions for underachieving pupils.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure every child reaches potential.
• Support pupils with SEND.

Salary: £140 - £200 per day

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to scaffold learning effectively
• Confidence using Assessment for Learning (AFL) to monitor and support pupil progress
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND within a mainstream setting
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
