Job summary

Talent Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a Year 4 class in Oldham from September 2026. You will deliver engaging KS2 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and support pupils, including those with SEN, to reach their full potential.

You will collaborate with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and the wider school team to monitor progress, differentiate tasks, and uphold high expectations for behaviour and safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • QTS is essential.
  • Experience teaching KS2/Year 4.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a Year 4 class in Oldham from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality learning while supporting the needs of all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The successful candidate will create an engaging and positive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. You will work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and the wider school team to ensure all pupils receive the support and challenge they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom where children feel confident to learn.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, using assessment to inform future planning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents, and external professionals to promote positive outcomes for all pupils.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
About You
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also welcome to apply.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 4.
  • A good understanding of the National Curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Experience supporting or teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A caring, adaptable, and positive approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
