Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a passionate Primary Teacher for a welcoming and supportive primary school in Marlow. You will deliver lessons across the Primary National Curriculum, helping pupils develop knowledge, confidence and a love of learning.

The role is full-time from September 2026 with MPS/UPS salary. You will work with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil progress and wellbeing, while upholding safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for inspiring and supporting pupils through engaging and inclusive teaching.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupils of all abilities.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Teach pupils across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, and foundation subjects.
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupils to participate, learn, and achieve.
  • Develop pupils’ literacy, numeracy, reading, writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupils’ progress, using assessment data to inform planning and provide targeted support.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, and engagement within the classroom.
  • Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities and learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to planning, assessment, school events, and wider school activities where required.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
