Qualifications

Pay: £140–£200 per day, dependent on experience

The Role

As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, creating a positive classroom environment and supporting pupils to make strong academic and personal progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the primary curriculum.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils.
• Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly.
• Maintaining high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement.
• Using a range of creative and effective teaching strategies to engage pupils.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and school community.
• Ensuring safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
• A minimum of 6 months' recent UK classroom experience.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A nurturing, patient and child-centred approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Confidence working independently while contributing effectively to a wider school team.
• A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their potential.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• At least 6 months' recent UK classroom experience.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
• Ability to provide a full two years of employment and/or education references.
• At least one reference relating to working with children.
• Right to work in the UK.
• References should be available during the pre-screen or registration process to support a smooth compliance journey.
