Job summary

Smile Education is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teacher in Sutton Coldfield for a flexible, part-time/long-term role. The position offers the chance to teach across a welcoming range of primary year groups with ongoing support from a Smile Education consultant.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or an equivalent qualification, has primary teaching experience, and is committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons. Competitive daily pay from 140 to 200 GBP is offered.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching across Primary Schools.
• Be flexible, well-organised and confident teaching across a range of year groups.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management, behaviour management and communication skills.
• Adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners and different abilities.
• Be passionate about delivering high-quality, engaging and inspiring lessons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver well-planned, engaging and purposeful lessons across Early Years to Year 6.
• Maintain strong classroom routines and promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Support pupil progress during classes and release time.
• Work collaboratively with other class teachers, teaching assistants and wider school staff.
• Uphold the school’s values of respect, ambition and inclusion.
• Ensure continuity, consistency and high standards in teaching and learning.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
