Qualifications

Job Tile: Primary Teacher

Location: Willow Park School, Milton Keynes, MK14 6LJ

Salary: Up to GBP40,000 per annum dependant on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Primary Teacher to join our close-knit team at Willow Park School located in Milton Keynes.

About the role

To support the inclusion and achievement of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) within the primary school setting. The SEN Teacher will design, deliver and assess learning activities tailored to meet individual needs, ensuring every pupil reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of SEND, including those with EHCPs.
  • Work closely with the SENCo and classroom teachers to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised strategies.
  • Provide targeted small-group or one-to-one interventions to support literacy, numeracy, social and emotional development, and behaviour.
  • Monitor, track and report on pupil progress, identifying barriers to learning and adapting support accordingly.
  • Liaise effectively with parents/carers, external agencies, and other professionals (e.g. educational psychologists, speech and language therapists).
  • Support the school in creating an inclusive environment that promotes the wellbeing, independence, and confidence of all learners.
  • Contribute to the review and annual assessment of EHCPs.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory SEN requirements.
  • Promote positive behaviour and implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours when necessary.
  • Take part in relevant CPD and training to remain informed of current best practices in SEN education.

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working with primary-aged children with a variety of special educational needs
