Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting for day-to-day KS2 cover at a primary school in the NG12 area with great facilities and a supportive team. There may be an opportunity for the right teacher to stay on in a long-term placement.

You will teach across Years 3 to 6, deliver engaging lessons, adapt for pupils with SEND, and communicate learning progress to staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and be DBS-checked with Update Service.
• Experience teaching in UK primary schools is essential.
• Comfortable teaching across the full KS2 range (Years 3–6).

Responsibilities

• Teach pupils across Years 3 to 6.
• Deliver engaging lessons and cover during staff absences.
• Adapt teaching approaches for pupils with SEND.
• Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere and consistent behaviour.
• Communicate learning progress to school staff.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in UK schools.
• Confidence working across the full KS2 age range.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and helping children progress.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
