Location: Rubery, Birmingham, B45

Daily Rate: £155 to £255

Start Date: 5th January 2026

End Date: End of Spring Term 2026 (Potential to extend)

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Hours: 8:00am until 4:00pm

About the Role

Long Term Futures is supporting a welcoming, community‑centred primary school in Rubery, seeking a confident Year 6 Teacher to cover the Spring Term from January 2026. This full‑time role focuses on preparing pupils for end‑of‑Key‑Stage assessments, with the possibility of extension based on school need.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons for Year 6 pupils.
  • Prepare pupils for SATs through targeted teaching and effective intervention.
  • Track progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
  • Foster a positive, structured classroom environment with high expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and phase leaders.
  • Communicate regularly with families and lead parent/assessment meetings.
  • Differentiate planning to meet a wide range of abilities, including SEN.
Qualifications
  • QTS with induction completed.
  • Experienced KS2 practitioner, ideally with Year 6 or upper KS2 experience.
  • Strong behaviour management and a calm, consistent teaching style.
  • Ability to support pupils through SATs preparation confidently.
  • A reflective teacher committed to inclusive, high‑quality practice.
