Job summary

Box Church of England Primary School in Corsham, Wiltshire, invites applications for a Teaching Assistant and MDSA on a fixed-term basis for the 2026-27 academic year. TA: 16.25 hours/week, 8:45am–12:00pm; MDSA: 5 hours/week, 12:00pm–1:00pm. Term-time only (38 weeks).

The role focuses on supporting learning in English/Maths and meeting needs of pupils with SEND, including safeguarding duties and lunchtime supervision.

Qualifications

• Essential: Good knowledge of Maths and English (GCSE Grade C/equivalent).
• Essential: Experience working with children and safeguarding understanding.
• Essential: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues.
• Desirable: NVQ qualifications and KS2/SEND experience.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality learning in English and Maths in the classroom.
• Provide tailored support for a pupil/SEND needs.
• Supervise lunchtime and support children socially and practically.
• Work with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress.
