Job summary

Burnley Primary School is seeking a caring, proactive Teaching Assistant for a full-time role commencing 2nd November 2026. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, in a welcoming environment.

You will collaborate with teachers to encourage learning, foster pupil engagement and build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents, while safeguarding at all times.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience in an educational, childcare or similar setting.
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the school under the direction of class teachers.
• Contribute to learning and pupil engagement in the classroom.
• Engage in whole-class, small group, or one-to-one interventions as appropriate.
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
