Cover People is seeking talented Primary Teachers to cover across Tameside for September 2026. Roles include day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements with flexible scheduling.

Ideal candidates hold QTS, understand the Primary curriculum, and can deliver engaging lessons while maintaining strong behaviour management and positive pupil relationships. Mon–Fri work across multiple schools, with consultant support from Cover People.

Cover People are recruiting Primary Teachers for a range of schools across Tameside, with opportunities available for teachers seeking flexible day-to-day work as well as those looking for more consistent longer-term placements.

Whether you’re an experienced teacher, ECT or returning to teaching, we have opportunities to suit different levels of experience and availability.

Vacancy Details

Role: Primary Teacher

Location: Tameside

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Pay: £130–£170 per day DOE.

The Role

• Proof of Right to Work and UK address.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay where applicable.
