Cover People are currently looking for Primary Teachers to support schools across South Manchester with their day-to-day and short-term staffing requirements.

Qualifications

• QTS is required and recent UK primary school experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons across the primary age range.
• Follow existing plans and school schemes of work.
• Maintain a calm and engaging classroom.
• Manage behaviour positively and consistently.
• Adapt teaching to different pupils and year groups.
• Support pupils' academic progress and wider development.
• Work effectively with teaching assistants and school staff.
• Provide feedback to the class teacher following an assignment.

Location: South Manchester

Position: Primary Supply Teacher

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £130–£170 per day DOE

Cover People are currently looking for Primary Teachers to support schools across South Manchester with their day-to-day and short-term staffing requirements.

Whether you're looking for regular supply work, occasional teaching days or a short-term placement, we can offer opportunities that fit around your availability. You'll have the chance to work across a variety of primary settings while continuing to provide pupils with high-quality teaching and a positive classroom experience.

We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers who are confident stepping into different year groups and can quickly establish a positive learning environment.

Your Role

Depending on the school and assignment, you may be required to:

• Deliver lessons across the primary age range
• Follow existing lesson plans and school schemes of work
• Maintain a calm and engaging classroom
• Manage behaviour positively and consistently
• Adapt teaching to different pupils and year groups
• Support pupils' academic progress and wider development
• Work effectively with teaching assistants and school staff
• Provide feedback to the class teacher following an assignment

We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience working within a UK primary school
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Confident classroom and behaviour management
• Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
• Reliable, enthusiastic and professional approach
• A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and wellbeing
• ECTs and experienced Primary Teachers are welcome to apply.
