Cover People are recruiting Primary Teachers for a range of schools across Tameside, with opportunities available for teachers seeking flexible day-to-day work as well as those looking for more consistent longer-term placements.

Whether you re an experienced teacher, ECT or returning to teaching, we have opportunities to suit different levels of experience and availability.

Vacancy Details

• Role: Primary Teacher
• Location: Tameside
• Start Date: September 2026
• Contract: Day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday
• Pay: £130 £170 per day DOE.

The Role

• Teach engaging and purposeful lessons in line with the Primary curriculum.
• Adapt activities and resources to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom where children feel confident to participate.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
• Establish clear expectations and use effective behaviour management strategies.
• Work positively with Teaching Assistants, colleagues and school leadership.
• Support pupils academic, social and emotional development throughout the school day.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay where applicable.
