Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking flexible Primary Supply Teachers to cover nurseries, KS1 and KS2 across South Cambridgeshire and North Hertfordshire. You can choose day-to-day cover or long-term class placements, with supportive local consultants and competitive rates.

We look for QTS or UK equivalent, strong curriculum knowledge, and excellent classroom management. DBS Update Service or willingness to apply is required to join our trusted network of schools.

• Differentiate learning activities to support children with diverse needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Leave clear, professional handover notes for regular class teachers when completing day-to-day assignments.

• For long-term roles: plan, assess, and mark work, track progress against national curriculum targets, participate in staff meetings, and engage with parents.

What We Look For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised UK equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum (and/or EYFS framework).

• Excellent classroom management, adaptability, and the confidence to step into unfamiliar primary settings.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build quick rapport with pupils and school staff.

• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
