Job summary

Smile Education is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teachers for flexible supply positions across Middlesbrough and surrounding areas. Roles include day-to-day cover, PPA, and long-term maternity placements, with ECTs warmly encouraged.

Quailfied Teachers Status (QTS) recognised in England is essential, with opportunities to teach across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Competitive PAYE rates and a supportive consultant are provided to help you find the right assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supply teaching across Middlesbrough and Teesside.
• Deliver engaging lessons and maintain pupil progress.
• Adapt to different schools, year groups and teaching requirements.
• Collaborate with schools and Smile Education to plan flexible cover.
• Participate in short- and long-term teaching opportunities as available.

Location: Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Billingham, Yarm and surrounding areas

Essential requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), recognised in England.
• Relevant primary teaching experience or recent teaching placements.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced child workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
• Satisfactory professional references and completion of safeguarding checks.
