Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join a school in Croydon for a September start. You will deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND and work closely with support staff to meet individual needs.

Experience with autism and other SEND areas is preferred. The role offers temporary to long-term progression with potential for permanent placement, in a supportive environment that prioritises pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• Experience working with primary-age children with SEND is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of autism, sensory processing, and behaviour management.
• Excellent communication, empathy and resilience are essential.
• Team player with a commitment to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for SEND pupils in primary settings.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and SENCOs.
• Track and report pupil progress against EHCP targets and learning plans.
• Contribute to a whole-school wellbeing ethos.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Primary Teacher to join one of our partnered schools that caters to children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEND
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and SENCOs
• Track and report on pupil progress using EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
• Contribute to a whole-school ethos that puts pupils' wellbeing first

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary setting
