Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join one of our partnered schools in Brixton for a September start.

This temporary to long-term role focuses on delivering differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND, including autism, SEMH and speech and language needs, within a supportive team.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, have SEND experience in a primary setting and collaborate with teaching assistants and SENCOs to track progress and support wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with SEND in a primary setting.
• Strong understanding of autism, sensory processing and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and SENCOs.
• Track and report on pupil progress using targets and personalised learning plans.
• Contribute to a whole‑school ethos that puts pupils' wellbeing first.
