Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Primary SEND Teaching Assistant in the Nottingham area to support primary-aged children with diverse learning needs. The role offers day-to-day assignments with potential for longer-term opportunities and a straightforward onboarding process.

The successful candidate will deliver one-to-one and small-group support, adapt activities to individual needs, and collaborate with teachers and staff to promote positive engagement and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEND.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to tailor support to each child’s individual needs.
• A patient, resilient and flexible approach.
• Experience working within education, SEND or care settings.
• A proactive attitude towards children’s learning and development.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
