Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Primary School in the Ormskirk area, seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition in a primary setting, helping pupils develop confidence, communication skills and independence.

The role is on a flexible, day-to-day basis; you will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with classroom activities, implement learning strategies, and collaborate with the class teacher to create an inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition / ASC in a primary school setting.
• Understanding of behaviour management strategies and differentiated learning approaches.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support where required.
• Assist with classroom activities and implement individual learning strategies.
• Work closely with the class teacher to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
