Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a Primary SEN Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition across the primary curriculum in flexible locations. You will support pupils with SEND, focusing on English, maths and early learning skills, and adapt lessons to individual needs.

You will assess learning needs, plan structured sessions, and build confidence while collaborating with parents, schools and other professionals. DBS checks are typically required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with primary-aged children with SEND/SEN.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or targeted interventions.
• Strong knowledge of English, maths and early learning skills.
• Qualified teaching or tutoring certification (e.g., QTS/PGCE/PGDE).
• Understanding of diverse SEN needs and teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition for primary pupils.
• Assess needs, set objectives and plan differentiated lessons.
• Teach across the primary curriculum with a focus on English, maths and phonics.
• Monitor progress and provide clear progress reports.
• Collaborate with parents, schools and SENCOs.
