A leading education service is seeking a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term contract at a small ASD school in Wandsworth. The role involves providing support to children on the Autistic Spectrum across KS1 & KS2 in a nurturing environment. Qualifications

• Experience in SEN support through various means (care work, volunteering, etc.).
• Full-time availability from 8:30am to 3:45pm, Monday to Friday.
• Positive and nurturing approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils throughout the school day and aid in learning.
• Conduct 1:1 or small group sessions as needed.
• Maintain health and safety levels and assist the teacher with daily class operations.

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract dates: long term with the opportunity of a permanent contract.

A lovely, small ASD school in Wandsworth, are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to support across KS1 & KS2.

About the school

• KS1 & KS2 ASD school
• Positive and nurturing environment for children on the Autistic Spectrum.
• Individually devised programme based

The role would include:

• Supporting pupils throughout the school day
• Behaviour/learning support
• Holding 1:1 or small group sessions
• Aiding with the set up and set down of the classroom
• Maintaining high levels of health and safety with the pupils
• Aiding the teacher with the day to day running of the class

As a successful candidate you MUST have:

• Experience using resources such as PECS, Makaton or TEACCH is highly desirable but not essential
• A positive and nurturing approach to support
