Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Primary SEN Teacher to work within a specialist setting in Shirebrook, part of a well-established Multi-Academy Trust. The role suits a confident teacher comfortable with pupils with high behavioural needs in a specialist SEN environment.

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons, support pupils with complex needs, manage behaviour, and work with Teaching Assistants to promote engagement and independence on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching at primary level.
• Has experience supporting pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour.
• Is resilient, adaptable and confident managing a demanding classroom.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is committed to providing consistent, high-quality education for pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons within a primary SEN classroom.
• Support pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• Manage behaviour effectively, maintaining clear boundaries and consistent routines.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Work alongside a team of Teaching Assistants providing support throughout the classroom.
• Promote pupils' engagement, development and independence.
